If my carrier needs to re-onboard, what do I do?
Re-onboard a carrier using the original fleet_ref.
Re-onboarding follows the same process as initial onboarding. Call the Create Invitation API with the same fleet_ref you used the first time. Catena automatically detects an existing invitation for that fleet_ref, refreshes it (extending the expiration and regenerating tokens), and returns the updated magic link.
Share the refreshed magic link with your carrier. They will go through the same Catena Connect flow to re-enter their TSP credentials and re-authorize data sharing. Their historical data and fleet record are preserved.
Common reasons a carrier may need to re-onboard:
- Their TSP credentials changed and the connection has staled.
- They switched to a different ELD provider.
- The original connection was set up incorrectly and needs to be replaced.
Note: Always use the same fleet_ref when re-inviting a carrier so the existing fleet record and share agreement are updated rather than a duplicate being created.
