What is a fleet_ref?
Use fleet_ref to map Catena fleets to your internal carrier records.
A fleet_ref is your organization's own internal identifier for a fleet, supplied when the invitation is created. It is how Catena links your internal records to a fleet in the platform.
For example, if your system identifies a carrier as "CARRIER-4521", that string would be set as the fleet_ref when the invitation is created. All API requests and webhooks for that fleet will include the fleet_ref so you can match Catena events back to your own records.
Note: The fleet_ref is set when the invitation is created and should be your own stable identifier for the carrier. It is separate from the fleet_id, which is the internal UUID assigned by Catena.
