What does "connection.staled" mean?

Understand what a connection.staled event means and how to restore data flow.

A connection.staled event means the TSP credentials a carrier used to connect are no longer valid. This typically happens when a carrier changes their TSP password, revokes API access, or the TSP expires the session.

When a connection stales, Catena stops fetching new data for that connection. Historical data remains available but no new data will flow until the carrier re-authenticates. The carrier should use their original magic link to reconnect. Once re-authenticated, data ingestion resumes automatically.

You can also detect stale connections by querying the List Connections endpoint and checking the status field.
